*Srinagar, April 18:* Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference witnessed a wave of support from Trehgam Constituency on Thursday as prominent political figures from diverse ideological backgrounds embraced the party fold. The joining took place in the presence of Party President Sajad Gani Lone and former MLA Advocate Bashir Ahmad Dar.

 

Among the notable personalities who joined the ranks of the party from Deedikot gushi block and other areas of Trehgam constituency were ex PDP functionaries including Zonal President Kupwara, Mohammad Maqbool Dar, Block President Trehgam, Fayaz Ahmad Wani and Zonal President Ashiq Hussain Dardpori. Additionally, Halqa President Gushi Fayaz Ahmad Gushi and Mohammad Iqbal Lone from Reshigund also made the decision to align themselves with the party’s vision.

 

Addressing the newly inducted members, Party President Sajad Lone commended their choice to join the “Caravan of Change” and contribute towards a transformative movement aimed at ushering in an era of development and prosperity for the region.

 

“Our motive, inspiration & work is all dedicated to uplift the common man, provide him the facilities and the opportunities to thrive which unfortunately have be a matter of privilege here for decades. The need to empower the common masses & resolving the issues concerning their daily needs shall remain pivotal for us,” he said.

 

Highlighting the grassroots connection of the Peoples Conference leadership, Lone underscored the importance of understanding the challenges faced by the people and effectively representing their interests on various platforms. He urged the new members to work collaboratively with the local communities to ensure that their voices are heard and their concerns addressed.
