SAMBA, APRIL 13: In a significant step towards promoting electoral participation and strengthening democracy, special awareness campaign under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) was conducted in village Chamliyal and Abtal.

This pivotal initiative was orchestrated under dynamic supervision of District Election Officer (DEO, Samba, Abhishek Sharma.

The program aimed at enlightening inhabitants of these villages about crucial importance of their vote in democratic process.

The event was further enriched by valuable participation of members from civil society, who eloquently spoke on the occasion, casting light on the vote’s vital role in strengthening of democratic foundations.

Apart from general public, the officers also interacted with BSF jawans and briefed them regarding Service Voter Portal which is a web-based application developed by Election Commission of India (ECI) to help service voters register to vote and manage their voter registration details.

The Nodal officer highlighted the direct impact of voting on the quality of governance and everyday lives of citizens, underscoring the fact that every single vote counts towards shaping the future of the nation.

In addition to disseminating key information about voting process, the campaign also provided practical guidance on how eligible voters can register themselves in the electoral rolls.

ADDC Samba, Nodal Officer SVEEP, CEO, DIO and other district/ sectoral officers were also present on the occasion.
