Poonch, Mar 30 : In a tragic incident of its type a man used his licensed 12-bore rifle to shot at his nephew, resulting in latter’s on spot death in Poonch district on intervening Friday and Saturday night.

Officials told that during a family clash, one Joginder Singh son of Jodh Singh opened fire, with his licensed 12-bore rifle, on his nephew Gagandeep Singh leaving him dead on the spot.

 

“The situation unfolded after the two parties engaged in a clash over family dispute,” said the official.

 

A police official told that cognisance has been taken into the matter and the accused apprehended alongside the weapon of offence. (KS)
