Kupwara, March 20 : In order to explain the role and responsibility of various teams constituted to keep an eye on poll expenditure and the model code of conduct (MCC) during the upcomming Lok sabha elections, the District administration Kupwara on Tuesday held a special training workshop for poll staff to ensure vigil of poll expenditure.

Members of expenditure Monitoring team, Assistant Expenditure Observors, video Survilance teams, and video viewing teams participated in the training session.

Chairing the session, Nodal Officer Elections/ NLMT Sameer Jan said that all team members should be acquainted with the methodology to calculate the poll expenditure.
He said that the teams had been given the responsibility of monitoring election expenditure of candidates and parties and it was necessary to impart them training about the methods to do their duty.

On the ocasion, team members were informed about the role and responsibilities entrusted upon them by the Election Commission of India to ensure proper implementation of guidelines issued by the commission.
