KUPWARA, MARCH 11: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan who is District Election Officer (DEO) today, visited various election facilities including Strong Room and Polling Stations to review security preparedness and other arrangements in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by SSP Kupwara, Shobhit Saxena; ADDC Kupwara, Gulzar Ahmad Bhat, ACR, Dy. DEO, XEN R&B, Tehsildar Kupwara and other concerned officers.
During her visit to various polling stations, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure Assured Minimum Facilities in all polling stations of the district so that the people do not face any inconvenience in exercising their vote. She impressed upon them to ensure proper arrangements including ramps, sanitation, cleanliness, pathways and signages around the polling stations.
The Deputy Commissioner also inspected Strong Room Kupwara and took stock of the arrangements being put in place for proper storage of election related material.
