Kaifa shah has again proved her mettle when she bagged Silver medal in the Moscow Wushu Stars 2024 being held at Moscow from 28th Feb to 5th March, Despite her injuries Kaifa shah has proved that when you are determined to do something then sky is the limit.
Kaifa started playing Wushu when she was only 7 years old .She got allured to Wushu when she saw some wushu players practising in Indoor stadium Srinagar.
With this started the journey which saw kaifa excelling at state national and now at an international levels.
Kaifa’s sports journey was full of ups and downs.She played her first National wushu championship in the year 2016 at Coimbatore after which she continues to excel with some unparalleled training from the chief coach of India Mr Kuldeep Handoo ji and coaches from UT she excelled from district to National levels and now at an international level.
Kaifa has already achieved a feat which others dream off at this age with 5-6 national.
Medals in Wushu and several other achievements at state levels Kaifa proved that their is lot one can achieve along with their studies.
Kaifa is as good in studies as in her game
She had to leave active wushu practice for a year or so after inflicting some injuries during a routine wushu practice.
Despite her injuries she made a comeback with a bang in the year 2021 when she got gold medal in wushu nationals after defeating some best players of the country
After that their was no looking back and she continued to add medals at state and at national levels.
Kaifa Shah also actively participates in the anti drugs programmes which has damaged our youth to a large extent.
She emphasises that one way to eradicate drug menace is to actively participate in sports activities for which our Hon’ble
Lieutenant Governor makes every effort to promote sports so that our youth is saved Kaifa shah gives credit of her performance to Ms Nuzhat Gul maam who has played a pivotal role in transforming the stature of sports in UT in J&K .she is the one who has changed entire sports scenario of the UT.
From sports equipment’s to infrastructure she has managed it all under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor
Mr Kuldeep Handoo (Dronacharya awardee) who despite his busy schedule always makes sure that wushu players from J&K get best training along with equipment’s s provided by the sports council .
Kaifa also accolades the role of pioneering her sports journey to her school.
