‘Say No To Drugs’ :Awareness Programme Held In Dangerpora Sopore

Feb 15 : Amidst the growing concern about drug menace among the younger generation, the Social Welfare Department in Sopore organized a day-long awareness program at Higher Secondary Dangerpora.

The program was organised by social welfare department Baramulla under the guidance of DSWO Baramulla

The program was headed by Tehsil Social Welfare Officer in Sopore, Fayaz Ahmad Lone, along with his staff.

On the occasion, the Zonal Education Officer for Zone Dangerpora, Mohd Akbar Wani, was the chief guest.

During the event, medical expert Dr.Javaid Ahmad from SDH shed light on the importance of saving lives of younger generation and securing a bright future, especially by avoiding involvement in the rising growth of drug menace in Kashmir.

He advised students to work hard for a successful and bright future and to steer clear of any wrongful activities.

Speaking at the event, TSWO Fayaz Ahmad Lone said that it is disheartening to see our younger generation involved in drugs and other social evils. He highlighted the importance of every individual playing their part in creating a successful society.

He stressed the importance of the younger generation being careful about their future and successful career, and urged them to avoid getting involved in any social evils.

He emphasized that while the department is making efforts to raise awareness about the drug menace, it is the responsibility of every individual to collectively work towards addressing this growing issue.
