76th CRPF Battalion pays tributes to Pulwama Martyrs

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 14: The 76th Bn, CRPF today organised Shradhanjali Programme” to pay Tributes to soldiers who attained martyrdom in Pulwama Bomb Blast on this day, five years back.

Under the guidance of T H Khan, Commandant, the Officers and Jawans paid rich tributes on the Fifth death anniversary of the Martyrs of Pulwama,

On 14″ February 2019, 40 Brave soldiers laid down their lives at the altar of Duty when a Vehicle borne suicide bomber hit the CRPF vehicle carrying CRPF personnel in convoy on the Jammu-Srinagar National highway near Lethapora in Pulwama.

During this cowardly incident, the bus that was blasted was of 76th Bn CRPF Jammu. The martyrs included five brave soldiers of 76th battalion namely Shaheed HC/GD Naseer Ahmed, Shaheed, HC/DVR Jaimal Singh, Shaheed CTGD Rohtash Lamba, Shaheed CT/GD Sukhjinder and Shaheed CT/ BUG Tilak Raj.

During this programme, Mahinder Singh, Second in Command, Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Second in Command, Girish Chandra Singh Sontiyal, Parveen Kumar, Asst Commandant and other Subordinate Officers / personnel of 76 Bn were present.
