BUDGAM, DECEMBER 30: Empowering the society; District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Budgam under the aegis of J&K Legal Services Authority in collaboration with Human Rights and anti Corruption Forum organised a programme at Legal Aid Clinic Gurwaith Khansahib Budgam.

 

The Programme was organized under the insightful directions of Chairman DLSA Budgam and under the supervision of Secretary DLSA Budgam, Jehangir Ahmad Bakshi.

 

Secretary DLSA Budgam gave the presidential address on the occasion.

 

Farooq Ahmad Khatana Secretary, SC/St Community UT of J&K Spoke on the occasion and apprised the audience about the role of their forum for the welfare of people in general and SC/ST Community in particular.

 

Javid Ahmad Mir panel Lawyer DLSA Budgam also spoke on the occasion and apprised the audience about the various legal aid services and schemes of DLSA meant for the common people in general and for the marginalized sects of society in particular.

 

Legal Aid beneficiaries of far flung areas of Gurwaith Khansahib, who were identified in a door to door awareness, around 45 in number were provided warm blankets by this authority.

 

The programme witnessed the participation of Legal Aid Beneficiaries, Panel Lawyers, PLVs, PRI members and Staff of DLSA Budgam.
