ADDC felicitates NEET, 10th & 12th toppers

 

SHOPIAN, DECEMBER 23: To commemorate the notable achievements of girl students of the district, who excelled in NEET and other examinations, the Department of Social Welfare in collaboration with the Department of Social Education today organised an adulation programme.

 

The programme was presided over by the chief guest, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone.

 

Speaking on occasion, ADDC accentuated the importance of girl child and her education. He also exalted the government for taking initiatives in order to safeguard the Right to Life and Right to Education of the girl child.

 

District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Shopian, Ibrar Hussain delineated about Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) programme and its accomplishments since inception.

 

The girl achievers were presented with cash prizes along with mementos. 13 Girl Toppers of 10th and 12th class who have secured highest Marks in the district and 1 NEET qualifier were felicitated.

 

The ceremony was attended by Chief Education Officer Shopian Mohammad Shabir, Principal Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Shopian, Afroza Akhter and all other staffers and students of the institution.
