SHOPIAN, DECEMBER 22: The District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Shopian today conducted an awareness camp on Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (BBBP) and other women centric schemes at CFC Zainapora, here.
The awareness programme was aimed to create awareness about gender equality, women’s rights, and the various government initiatives designed to uplift women and create a safe and empowering environment for them.
On the occasion, DHEW officials and other domain experts spoke in length on the importance of women’s empowerment and the significance of educating girls.
They also raised awareness on different women centric schemes like Pension, Scholarship, Marriage Assistance schemes.
Officials sensitised gathering on Women empowerment schemes and initiatives available at district level such as DHEW, OSC, WHL 181, Shelter Home, PMMVY, Employment generation schemes such as Tajeswini, Mumkin, PMEGP, etc.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local community including sarpanches, Awws, Asha workers, SHGs and locals.
