RAMBAN, DECEMBER 14: The District Election Department Ramban today organized a day-long training-cum-workshop session under the aegis of District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner), Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary to sensitize the District Level Master Trainers (DLMTs) about the five notified ‘themes’ at Conference Hall here.
The training-cum-workshop session was organized as per the directions received from the office of Chief Electoral Officer, UT of J&K. During the session, a brief account on the notified themes of Qualification and Disqualification, Nomination, Scrutiny of Nomination and Withdrawal of Candidature and Allotment of Symbols, District Election Management Plan, Vulnerability Mapping and Polling Party and Poll Day arrangement, Model Code of Conduct, Expenditure Monitoring and SVEEP, Postal Ballot, ETPBS and various IT applications including counting applications, EVM-VVPAT, Counting and Declaration of Result.
Sensitizing the District Level Master Trainers (DLMTs) and Assembly Level Master Trainers ( ALMTs), the State Level Master Trainers including Deputy District Election Officer, Lal Chand, GM, DIC, Ravinder Anand, and SDM, Ramsoo Ghanshyam Basotra, imparted comprehensive training to them about the use of EVMs for the forthcoming Parliament Elections.
Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal Shrama also chaired a meeting of SLMTs, DLMTs, ALMTs and Nodal Officers appointed for the conduct of forthcoming Parliament Elections.
Terming the conduct of election as a team work, the ADC dwelt in detail about the role and responsibilities of Nodal officers and sensitized them about various aspects of election. He said that work in synchronization during the election would lead to success.
Among others, ACR, Giasul Haq, CPO, Shakeeb Ahmed Rather, DSEO, Ganesh Kumar, Tehsildars S. Harvir Singh, DLMTs, ALMTs, besides Nodal officers including Dr. Sushant Mahajan, Abhishek Gupta, Dev Anand, Shakeel-ur-Rehman, Vivek Mahajan, Deepak Gupta, Dr. kamal Zadoo, Tarlok Singh, and Rashid Sofi attended the meeting.
