Horticulture related awareness camps held to cover uncovered beneficiaries

SRINAGAR DECEMBER 06:- As a part of ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, awareness programmes continues in Srinagar District to empower the people by making them aware about the Government sponsored flagship programmes.

Today, on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner(DC), Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad the Horticulture Department Srinagar set up awareness camps in Khonmoh Block of Srinagar District.

During the camps held at Panchayas of Khonmoh Block, the Officers of the line Departments underscores the importance of bringing government schemes closer to communities, igniting a spirit of development and reach the unreached beneficiaries.

On the occasions, Demonstration on soil sampling, Awareness regarding various centrally sponsored schemes and HADP, Beneficiaries enlisted for K.C.C, Demonstration on pruning, besides, pamphlets/literature regarding various departmental schemes were also distributed among the beneficiaries.

During the camps, the Officers/Officials of the Horticulture Department established stalls displaying benefits of the Government welfare and flagship schemes. The programmes witnessed overwhelming response from the public, especially women, youth and farmers.
