NCC TRAINING CAMP FOR SELECTION OF REPUBLIC DAY PARADE CONTINGENT OF NCC GROUP SRINAGAR

Srinagar, 18 November 2023 NCC Group Srinagar has commenced a 10 days NCC Camp at NCC Camping Ground, Nagrota to select best cadets from Kashmir Valley & Ladakh to represent NCC contingent of Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh Directorate for Republic Day Camp at New Delhi.

This 10 days camp has commenced on 18 Nov 23 & is being conducted by 1 J&K Battalion NCC, Srinagar. It is providing an excellent opportunity to 515 Boys & Girls Cadets of various schools & Colleges of valley & UT of Ladakh.

There being NO NCC training Infrastructure in the kashmir region for the cadets, the selection is taking place at NCC Training Ground Nagrota.

Cadets will be selected to take part in numerous activities at Republic Camp, New Delhi to include Marching on Kartavya-Path, Guard of Honour to PM & Other dignitaries, Prestigious PM Rally, Cultural Programmes & selection of all India Best NCC Cadet. Cadets for Youth exachange programmes to various countries will also be selected from this contingent.

This camp will also lay special emphasis on empowerment training to cadets on cyber security, disaster management, enterprenuership development, Fire Fighting & awareness about various social Welfare schemes & scholarships.

This camp is being organised in the newly renovated & refurbished NCC training Academy, Nagrota giving best of the facilities to the boys & girls cadets under the able leadership of Maj Gen Rajesh Kumar Sachdeva, Additional Directorate General, NCC Directorate JK&L.

It is expected that participation of cadets from Valley & Ladakh in big number will further motivate the youth to join the NCC and grow into responsible citizen of the country.
