Kupwa: November 15. In an effort to ensure an accurate and up-to-date electoral rolls, under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Miss Ayushi Sudan, the District Election office kupwara has organized Special Summary Revision Awareness Camps at various places in District Kupwara. These camps aim to enhance awareness among the residents regarding the importance of voter registration and the ongoing summary revision process.

The camps provide a platform for citizens to verify and update their voter information, ensuring that the electoral rolls reflects their recent and accurate details. Electoral officials, EROs/AEROs are present to assist individuals in completing the necessary Forms, addressing queries and facilitating the registration process.
ACR Kupwara, Irfan Bahadur, JKAS, while address audience at Degree college Kupwara, Polytechnic Kupwara and Govt College for women at sailkoote emphasized on the significance of citizen participation in the democratic process. He said that right to vote empowers us to participate and impact policies of the govt. This is the most powerful weapon in our hands in a democracy.
Similar Awareness camps were held at various places in Main Market kupwara, Govt Degree college Handwara, GDC Langate, GDC karnah, ITI kupwara and in various Higher Secondary Schools of the District covering all the Assembly Constituencies.

These awareness camps promote inclusivity and encourage eligible individuals to exercise their right to vote. The officials conducting these camps urged on the residents to actively engage in this initiative, contributing to the strengthening of the democratic foundation.

These Special Summary Revision Awareness Camps exemplify the commitment of administration to transparency and inclusiveness in the electoral process, fostering a sense of civic responsibility among the people of District Kupwara.
