3rd phase of B2V-5 commences in 35 Panchayats at Shopian

SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 13: The third phase of ongoing government’s ambitious Back to Village (B2V-5) programme commenced today in 35 panchayats of Shopian district.

On the occasion, 35 visiting officers conducted public outreach programmes in equal numbers of Panchayats to take on spot appraisal of the issues and grievances of the public.

The Visiting Officers included Khurshid Ahmad Sanai, Additional Secretary, SWD; Ashiq Hussain Lily, Member, J&K Special Tribunal, Srinagar; Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Magray, Director, Land Management, SDA; Abdul Hamid Kumar, Director Accounts & Treasuries, Kashmir; M Rouf Rehman, JD Education, Central Kashmir and others.

The designated Visiting Officers along with government functionaries reached early in panchayats and deliberated upon local Village level issues with the local PRIs, and public.

Visiting Officers remained engaged in listening to the aspirations of the people and taking feedback to ensure effective implementation of developmental schemes and highlight their issues and grievances to the higher authorities.

They informed people about the centrally and UT sponsored schemes for the welfare of the general public.

District level Nodal Officers including ADDC, ADC, SDM, ACR and ACD also visited Panchayats to ensure hassle free proceedings of the programme.
