In a commendable initiative under the Civic Action Plan of Srinagar Sector, 117 Bn CRPF of Srinagar Sector organized a free medical camp at Child Care High School, Khursoo, Rajbagh. The event witnessed the dedicated service of five doctors, with two nominated by the Zonal Medical Officer, Batmaloo, and three from CRPF.
A total of 225 walk-in patients received medical attention during the camp. The participating doctors included Dr. Nighat and Dr. Mudasir Hakeem nominated by the Zonal Medical Officer, Batmaloo, and CRPF’s own medical officers, Dr. Yamini Chelvi, Dr. Ekta Tanwar, and Dr. Mudawar Saleem.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Sh. Biplab Sarkar, Commandant, 117Bn CRPF, with the distinguished presence of Sh. Abhiram Pankaj, Second In Command, Sh. Mrityunjay Kumar, Deputy Commandant, Sh. T. Rabichandra, AC, and Sh. Raghav Ranjan Jha, AC of 117Bn. The event was graced by Ms. Rehana Sultan, Principal of Child Care High School, and Mr. Zeeshan, Administrator of the school, who generously provided their campus for this noble cause.
Local residents commended CRPF’s efforts in organizing such camps, emphasizing the positive impact on the community. Sh. Biplab Sarkar, Commandant 117Bn CRPF, highlighted the unit’s commitment to reaching out to the local community and providing free medical assistance, particularly as winter approaches.
Speaking to the media, Sh. Biplab Sarkar informed that this is the third medical camp organized by the unit, with two more planned in the coming days. He expressed gratitude for the support received and underscored the importance of such initiatives in connecting with the locals and addressing their concerns.
Under the guidance of Sh. Ajay Kr. Yadav, IG, Srinagar Sector, similar medical camps are being conducted across Central Kashmir, benefiting residents in Srinagar, Badgam, and Ganderbal districts. The fourth camp in the series is scheduled for 11th November at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Natipora.
The CRPF remains steadfast in its commitment to community welfare and looks forward to continued collaboration with local partners for the well-being of the people it serves.
