Turning his attention to housing initiatives, the Deputy Commissioner scrutinized the physical and financial status of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) and AWAS Plus. Impressively, out of the targeted 65,594 houses, 33,053 have been completed.

During the discussion, the need for geo-tagging of all finalized houses was emphasized, and clear directives were issued to expedite the remaining projects to meet set targets efficiently.

Delving into the accomplishments under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), the DC highlighted the generation of an impressive 1,056,495 person-days, achieving 84 percent of the set target.

Stressing the urgency of Aadhar seeding, the Deputy Commissioner called for achieving 100 percent Aadhar seeding under MGNREGA promptly. A meticulous review of the progress showcased a strong commitment to creating sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Within the ambit of the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), the DC was apprised of the ongoing door-to-door waste collection in the district. A detailed evaluation of the physical and financial advancements in Soakage pits, compost pits, Segregation sheds, and Community sanitary complexes underscored the dedication of the administration to sanitation and environmental sustainability.

In the ambitious pursuit of holistic development through the Aspirational Block Development Program (ABDP), significant strides have been made with initiation underway on 15 out of the 22 planned works. Simultaneously, under the Aspirational Panchayat Development Program (APDP), which shares a parallel commitment to transformative change, commendable progress is evident as 22 out of the 42 designated works have been successfully launched.

The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri directed the officers to work with heightened enthusiasm and a mission-oriented mindset. The call for diligence and a mission-oriented approach underscores the importance of meeting public expectations. The emphasis on completion, coupled with the call for geo-tagging, demonstrates the commitment of the administration to accountability and quality in developmental endeavors.

The meeting was attended by CPO Mohammad Khurshid, ACD Vijay Kumar, ACP Sheraz Chowhan, DPO Auqil Nuvaid, EXEN REW Zahir Khan, and Block Development Officers.
