KARNAH: Under the guidance of SSP Traffic Roller, Karnah traffic officials conducted an educational event at Degree College Kandi Karnah. Numerous students and teachers actively engaged in the program, featuring discussions on road safety and traffic awareness. The speakers delivered an extensive lecture, emphasizing the importance of public awareness and adherence to traffic regulations to lower the toll of road accidents. They highlighted the alarming statistics of annual fatalities and life-altering disabilities caused by accidents. Stressing the significance of seat belt usage for drivers and the critical necessity of helmets for motorcyclists, they also discouraged mobile phone use while driving, advised against overtaking, and emphasized the perils of overloading vehicles. Recommendations for traffic enhancement were put forward during the session.Prior to this, a meeting was conducted by the traffic police with the sumo union, led by SI Muhammad Shafiq Khan, wherein comprehensive information about traffic rules was provided. Drivers were cautioned that violating these regulations would lead to actions taken against them as per the law. SSP Traffic Roller Ronder Pal Singh’s recent mandate following a road accident in Karnah led to the establishment of a traffic checkpoint unit to ensure compliance with traffic rules. Consequently, the traffic police have been inspecting vehicle documents for the past three days, educating the public and those involved in transportation about traffic regulations.Local residents expressed gratitude to SSP Traffic for the initiative and expressed optimism for continued efforts to improve the area’s traffic system in the future
