REASI, NOVEMBER 06: To review the progress of developmental works taken up under R&B Sector in the District during financial year 2023-24, a meeting of concerned officers was held today here under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan.

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner took a comprehensive physical/financial review of targets with regard to infrastructure development, up-gradation works and the macadamization process undertaken by R&B.

The R&B functionaries apprised the DC about the present status of major developmental works and macadamization process through a detailed PowerPoint presentation.

After reviewing the ongoing works taken up in the current year by R&B and other allied sectors, the Deputy Commissioner directed the stakeholder departments to expedite the pace of work on each project to ensure their timeline completion so that people are benefitted at large.

Deputy Commissioner directed XEN Mahore to speed up the pace of execution by working in double shifts to complete the projects before the onset of severe winters/ snowfall. He exhorted the concerned Officers to monitor the progress of works on a daily basis.

To accelerate the completion of the vital road project connecting Kanda to Ransoo, the DC directed the Executive Engineer Public Works Department (PWD) to execute the work in double shift .This decision aims to ensure the timely completion of the road, particularly for the enhancement of pilgrimage, as number of pilgrims from different states visit Shiv Khori Shrine.

ADDC Jyoti Slathia, Joint Director Planning Sunita Kanchan, SE R&B Reasi, Xens PWD Katra, Reasi and Mahore and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
