RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 03: In a resounding display of commitment to eradicate corruption and foster a culture of transparency, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today flagged off a mega Walkathon as a part of a variety of activities being organised in the district under the ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week.

The event saw enthusiastic participation of officers and officials representing different government departments. The Walkathon aimed to spread the resounding message, “Say No to Corruption & Commit to Nation,” commenced from the Sports Stadium in Kheora and culminated at the Dak Bungalow in Rajouri, covering a considerable distance symbolizing the journey towards a corruption-free society.

The Deputy Commissioner flagged off the Walkathon with a motivating address emphasizing the importance of integrity, transparency, and accountability in public life. He urged every individual to contribute towards a corruption-free nation, as this is crucial for the overall development and prosperity of the region.

The participants of the Walkathon displayed their unwavering commitment to the cause, carrying banners with slogans promoting ethical conduct and denouncing corruption. Their collective energy and enthusiasm left a lasting impression on the onlookers and conveyed the message that corruption has no place in the society.

The event served as a platform for building awareness about the detrimental effects of corruption and the importance of staying committed to the nation’s progress. The Walkathon was not just a symbolic gesture but a call to action, urging citizens to report any instances of corruption and uphold the values of honesty and integrity.

As Vigilance Awareness Week continues, the District Administration of Rajouri is determined to take the fight against corruption to new heights. Various awareness programs, seminars, and workshops are being organised during the week to engage with the community and educate them about the perils of corruption and the means to combat it.

The Deputy Commissioner expressed his gratitude to all participants for their unwavering support in making the Mega Walkathon a grand success. He encouraged everyone to carry forward the spirit of the Walkathon by actively participating in the events and initiatives scheduled for Vigilance Awareness Week.

Among the others present during the event were the Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajiv Kumar Khajuria; District Social Welfare Officer, Abdul Rahim; District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Sunil Samyal and other concerned stakeholders.
