The absence of a CT Scan facility in SDH Tangdar has become a pressing issue as it hampers the hospital’s ability to provide timely and accurate diagnostic services. Patients in need of CT scans are compelled to travel long distances to access the service, causing delays in diagnoses and treatment, which can be life-threatening in critical cases.

The residents of Tangdar and the surrounding areas have expressed their concerns and grievances over this issue. They have highlighted the challenges they face, particularly during medical emergencies, where every moment counts.

Talking With Our correspondent Civil Society Karnah General Secretary Waqar Ahmad Said we were directed to travel to a different town for a CT Scan. The nearest facility is miles away, and it took us hours to reach there. The delay in diagnosis and treatment can make a significant difference in such cases.”

The absence of a CT Scan facility not only affects the patients but also places additional stress on the limited healthcare resources available in the region. SDH Tangdar serves a substantial population, and this shortfall in medical infrastructure adds to the burden on healthcare professionals and staff.

Local healthcare authorities have acknowledged the issue and are actively working to address it. They have requested the government to provide the necessary equipment and support to establish a CT Scan facility at SDH Tangdar.

Community leaders and residents have also appealed to the government to prioritize the healthcare needs of the region by ensuring that essential medical facilities are readily available. They emphasize that having a CT Scan facility at SDH Tangdar would significantly improve healthcare services and, more importantly, save lives during emergencies.

As the people of Tangdar continue to grapple with the lack of a CT Scan facility, their hopes are pinned on swift action by the authorities to address this critical issue and enhance healthcare accessibility in the region.
