DDC Chairperson Ramban kick-starts work on two road projects costing Rs 6.4 cr

RAMBAN, NOVEMBER 01: Chairperson District Development Commissioner Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan today kick started construction work on two road projects in Subdivision Gool at an allotted cost of Rs 6.4 cr under NABARD and District plan.

The Chairperson kick started construction work on 3km long Grathmorh to Moila road via Shamti project under NABARD at an allotted cost of Rs. 605 lakh.

The Chairperson along with Chairperson BDC, Gool, Shakeela Begum, AEE Vimal Sidha, AE Tariq Ahmed, JE Haris, PRIs and general public also commenced Dharansol to Lodhri road project via Fulsar under District Plan Phase-1, Length 2km with an allotted cost of Rs. 34.76 lakh.

Addressing the gathering, the Chairperson said that with the completion of the project, a long pending demand of the area will be fulfilled which will go a long way in easing the life of locals.

She directed the officers of PW (R&B) Department and line Departments to ensure quality and timely completion of the road project to benefit thousands of souls of the area.

Asking the PRIs to personally monitor the execution of work, she said the same was imperative to ensure quality and timely completion of developmental works and implementation of all youth and beneficiary oriented schemes in their respective areas.

The Chairperson also interacted with the people and listened to their developmental demands. She also issued on-the-spot directions to the concerned for their early redressal of the issues raised by the locals.
