Arrangements for observance of Vigilance Awareness Week reviewed at Kupwara

KUPWARA, OCTOBER 28: Following the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the arrangements put in place for observance of Vigilance Awareness Week in the district.

ADC Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir; besides, other district and sectoral officers attended the meeting.

It was given out in the meeting that Pledge Ceremony shall be held on 30th October in all Government Offices, Bank Branches, Post Offices and all Educational Institutions including schools and Degree Colleges.
Principals of GDCs were asked to conduct Vigilance Awareness programmes in the colleges which shall include debates, quiz competition, slogans, paintings, posters, walkathon/marathon and cyclathon.

CEO Kupwara was also asked to organize similar programmes in the schools.

The ACP Kupwara was asked to conduct vigilance awareness programmes for PRIs in Kupwara and Handwara, besides, similar programmes shall be conducted at Gram Sabha level for PRIs along with self help groups, MGNREGA workers, farmers etc.

SDMs and Tehsildars were asked to conduct Grievance Redressal Camps in their headquarters for resolving the grievances of the general public.

Besides, all the district and sectoral officers were directed to ensure display of Citizen Charter and CVC guidelines in their respective offices, besides, installation of complaint box, if not already installed.
