Several projects for better patient care at District Hospital Budgam approved.

BUDGAM, OCTOBER 18: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam, Akshay Labroo today chaired Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS), meeting of Ayushman Bharat and HDF.

Among others, the meeting was attended by Chairman Municipal Council Budgam, Vice Chairman District Health Society Chief Medical Officer Budgam, Member Secretary Medical Superintendent District Hospital Budgam, Executive Engineer R&B Division Budgam, District Ayush Officer and other concerned members.

Speaking on the occasion, he stressed on robust functioning of all health facilities in the district to ensure better patient care to the general public.

In order to improve healthcare at the District Hospital Budgam, the DC led committee approved several machinery, equipments and infrastructural projects required for orthopaedic, Ophthalmology and other departments to be acquired from the available budget.

Orthoscope and it’s hand instruments for orthopaedic department, Slit lamp, Tonometer, Automatic Refractometer, Minor OT set, Vision drum for Ophthalmology department were also approved in the meeting beside, Fogging machines, Fire extinguishers, Laptops, USG probe were also approved.

At the outset, Medical Superintendent, Dr Mohammad Iqbal presented gave overview of functioning of District Hospital Budgam through the Powerpoint presentation.

The Medical Superintendent expressed his gratitude to the district administration for approving various important infrastructure developmental projects under different District funds components, 2023.

The projects include Blood Bank component unit for the cost of Rs 32.50 lacs, fencing and main gate of hospital for about 7.63Lacs.
