ICDS Ramban organises activities under Aspirational Block Development Programme

RAMBAN, OCTOBER 05: To address malnutrition and promote holistic development of women and children, the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Ramban initiated a series of activities under as part of the Aspirational Block Development Programme under the aegis of the ‘Sanklap Saptah’ campaign.

Led by the Project Officer of ICDS Ramban, Jahangir Hashmi and accompanied by Siddharth Dubey, CDPO Project Ramsoo, along with Supervisors and members of the Panchayati Raj Institutions, ICDS embarked on a day-long event

During the event, the ICDS team visited several Anganwadi Centers (AWCs) within the block, where they conducted comprehensive awareness programs. The primary objective was to highlight the pivotal role AWCs play in combating malnutrition among women and children, preparing children for school through early childcare and education, and providing essential supplementary nutrition crucial for their healthy growth and development.

Jahangir Hashmi emphasized the significance of the ICDS team’s commitment towards improving the health and nutrition indicators within the aspirational block. He urged the staff of Poshan to redouble their efforts in elevating the health and nutrition standards of the women and children of Khari and Ukhral.

The day-long activities culminated at Government Middle School Mandakbaas, where the ICDS team shared their insights and commitments to the cause of holistic child development and nutrition.
