Father Raped Daughter, Accused Arrested within Hours in Baramulla: Police

Baramulla police arrested rape accused within hours in Kalantra Payeen, Uri of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Officials told that police station Kreeri received written complaint from one girl (name withheld) age about 19 years stating therein that she was raped by her father namely Mohd Rafeeq Mochi son of Abdul Jabbar resident of Kalantra Payeen and is absconding from home.

“On this written complaint FIR was registered in Police Station Kreeri under relevant sections of law”, he said.

“Police Station Kreeri utilizing all technical and human sources and with strenuous efforts traced the accused and arrested him in the instant case”, he further added.

Further medico legal formalities conducted of the girl and further investigation of the case is in progress.(KS)
