RAMBAN, OCTOBER 01: District Administration Ramban intensified activities across the district under week-long programme ‘Sankalp Saptaah’ to implement various Government schemes and initiatives including cleanliness and sanitation drives.

On the eve of ‘Gandhi Jayanti’ Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam today lead a massive cleanliness and sanitation drive held in and arround the District Administrative Complex, Maitra under the theme Swachhta Hi Seva.

At the outset, the he Deputy Commissioner administered a Swachhta pledge to the participants including ADC Harbans Lal, ACR Gias Ul Haq, CPO Kasturi Lal and various senior officers besides participating in plantation drive by planting a sapling in the premises of DAC for reinforcing the commitment to environmental sustainability and adding to the green legacy of Ramban.

Participating in the event which witnessed an overwhelming turnout of dedicated citizens, the Deputy Commissioner asked local organizations and the general public to pool their efforts to clean public places, parks, and streets in every corner of the district.

The DC said that the District Administration remains steadfast in its dedication to preserving the essence of this cleanliness drive and has plans to continue organizing similar endeavors in the future. The collaborative efforts of the community and administration hold the promise of a cleaner and brighter future for Ramban.

The DC expressed deep appreciation for the wholehearted participation of the community. He underscored the vital role of such initiatives in creating a cleaner and healthier living environment for the residents of Ramban. He also called for sustained efforts to uphold the momentum of cleanliness.

An array of awareness programmes was also conducted by the various institutions across the district to enlighten the public about the significance of cleanliness, efficient waste management, and responsible disposal practices.

Similar cleanliness drives were also conducted by the various institutions and departments in their offices besides adjoining areas to ensure cleanliness of towns, villages, markets and other public places with the participation of all concerned and general public as part of Sankalp Saptah initiative.
