KVK Gurez organises one day Awareness programme under HADP

BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 26: One-day awareness program titled ‘Technological Interventions in Fruit Crop Cultivation under Microclimatic Conditions of Gurez Valley’, was Tuesday organized by, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK)- Gurez, under HADP (Holistic Agriculture Development Programme) Project.

The event was attended by SDM Gurez, Mukhtar Ahmad Ahanger, Tehsildar Gurez, besides experts from KVK Gurez.

The event was organised to promote innovative extension approaches for agriculture in the region. With over a hundred farmers in attendance, it was a highly successful and engaging gathering.

The focus of the program was on imparting knowledge and techniques related to the cultivation of apple, walnut, and apricot crops, which are prominent agricultural products in the Gurez Valley. Experts and speakers shared valuable insights into various aspects of these crops, including improved farming practices, pest and disease management, post-harvest handling, and marketing strategies.

The farmers displayed great enthusiasm and interest throughout the program. They actively participated in interactive sessions, posed relevant questions, and eagerly absorbed the information shared by the experts. Their engagement demonstrated their genuine eagerness to enhance their agricultural practices and optimize the yields of their fruit crops.
