Director General of Police (DGP), Dilbagh Singh, on Tuesday said that the situation in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir is normal, and it continues to remain so following the Kokernag encounter.
The DGP addressed the media during a function in Resai shedding light on the recent Kokernag encounter and the ongoing efforts of the security forces.
Highlighting the operational pursuit of terrorists in Kokerang, Singh expressed his gratitude for the bravery displayed by the security personnel involved.
Tragically, during the encounter, four security personnel lost their lives, fighting valiantly in the line of duty.
He said the authorities are resolute in their determination to counter any remaining threats with utmost vigilance. The sacrifices made by the fallen security personnel will be honored and remembered, inspiring others in the ongoing fight against terrorism. (KS)
