September 25 – In a determined effort to make Sopore a drug-free subdivision, a programme was organized on Monday under the banner of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan at Boys Hr Sec School Dangerpora in north Kashmir’s Sopore.
The event was attended by Principal Hr Sec Dangerpora, G.N. Sumji, Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Sopore, Fayaz Ahmad Lone, Zeo Dangerpora, Mohd Akbar Wani, and Medical Officer from SDH Sopore, Dr. Javid Ahmad Bhat, along with staff members and students.
During the event, the speakers emphasized the need for relentless efforts and unwavering commitment to ensure the success of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan campaign.
They highlighted the devastating impact of drug addiction on the future of the young generation and stressed the importance of collective responsibility in keeping a watchful eye on our children and loved ones to protect them from falling prey to this menace.
A comprehensive discussion was held on various strategies to keep the youth away from drugs.
The main objective of the meeting was to work towards making Sopore and Zaingair areas free from the clutches of drug abuse.
By promoting awareness, providing support, and implementing preventive measures, the community aims to create an environment where the young generation can thrive without the dangers of substance abuse.
