Police in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Saturday evening said they had arrested the corporator of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) on charge of sexual harassment.
Srinagar police took to microblogging site X and wrote One SMC corporator, Aqib Ahmed Renzu of Nishat Srinagar, was arrested for sexual harassment, outraging modesty, and online stalking. Strong technical evidence in this matter was produced by the brave victim. FIR Nos. 50/2023 U/S 354, 354A, and 354D were registered at the RM Bagh Police Station.(KS)
