DDC Chairperson joins Maha Yagyi at Gangpukhri Asthapan temple at Lar

GANDERBAL, SEPTEMBER 23: District Development Chairperson Ganderbal (DDC), Nuzhat Ishfaq on Saturday visited the Gangpukhri Asthapan temple at Lar Ganderbal and joined Pandit community at Maha Yagyi (Hawan).

During the Maha Yagi prayers were offered for peace and prosperity in the region as well as for the safe return of Kashmiri Pandits to their homeland.

Kashmiri pandits thronged the temple from different parts of the valley to participate in the religious function.

The Gangpukhri Asthapan temple in Lar Ganderbal has always been a place of spiritual significance for the local community and the Maha Yagi was a special occasion for people to come together and seek blessings. The atmosphere was filled with devotion and hope as participants chanted sacred mantras and performed rituals.

The inclusion of DDC Chairperson Nuzhat Ishfaq in the event showcased the support and solidarity of the local administration towards the welfare and aspirations of the Kashmiri Pandit community. This gesture was greatly appreciated by the attendees.

“We are wholeheartedly thankful to DDC Chairperson Ganderbal and Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal for all the arrangements and help they extended to make this function happen smoothly,” said a Kashmiri Pandit.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairperson said that the Maha Yagi not only symbolized religious observance but also served as a platform for fostering unity and understanding among different communities. It provided an opportunity for people to come together regardless of their religious or cultural backgrounds and express their collective hopes for peace and harmony in the region.

As the prayers echoed around the temple participants expressed their heartfelt wishes for the return of Kashmiri Pandits to their ancestral land. The event was a reminder of the shared heritage and cultural diversity of Kashmir emphasizing the need for inclusivity and mutual respect.

Overall the Maha Yagi at Gangpukhri Asthapan temple lar was a significant occasion that brought together people with a common purpose. It served as a reminder of the importance of peace prosperity and the unity of all communities in Kashmir.

Later, DDC Chairperson Ganderbal inaugurated the Yatri Bhawan at Gangpukhri temple in Lar Ganderbal.

Former MLA Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar also Present on the occasion.
