SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 20: The Government College for Women M A Road Srinagar today organised one day Science event in collaboration with Department of Science and Technology.

The event covered two broad themes of Artificial Intelligence and Genetic engineering in treatment of diseases about which the students from various city colleges made some oral and some poster presentations.

Commissioner Secretary Science and Technology, Saurabh Bhagat, was the chief guest on the occasion. He complimented and felicitated the winner students.

The program was attended by academic luminaries Professor Qayyum Husain, Vice Chancellor Cluster University Srinagar and Professor Vilayat Hussain Rizvi, Registrar Cluster University Srinagar, Dr. Nasir Shah, Additional Director JKDST and others.

Principal Government College for Women, Professor Ruhi Jan, highlighted broad contours of the Science event.

The proceedings of the oral presentations were conducted by Dr. Qudsia Gani from department of Physics and those of poster presentations were conducted by Dr. Nazia Khurshid from department of Biotechnology. Dr. Muzamil Ashraf from department of biochemistry formally proposed the vote of thanks.
