ADDC Ramban reviews preparedness for Municipal Elections

RAMBAN, SEPTEMBER 15: Additional District Development Commissioner Ramban, Rajinder Sharma today convened a meeting of the nodal officers and ROs appointed to conduct forthcoming Municipal Elections scheduled for 2023.

ADC, Harbans Lal Sharma; ACR, Giasul –Haq; Dy. DEO, Lal Chand; CPO, Dr. Kasturi Lal and all Nodal officers, ROs, Master trainers and concerned officers attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the ADDC discussed various critical aspects of the election preparations. He reviewed the progress made so far and stressed on making collective efforts for ensuring the transparent and efficient conduct of the upcoming municipal elections.

During the meeting, it was informed that all the nodal officers, ROs and other concerned officers and officials have been sensitized about their role and responsibilities in the election. He also took stock of Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) that have been made available at every polling station, ensuring a smooth voting experience for citizens.

Reviewing the preparedness of nodal officers about their responsibility for municipal elections, the ADDC also reviewed the status of the appointment of Returning Officers (ROs) and Assistant Returning Officers (AROs), and it was confirmed that the necessary appointments have been made. It was also given out in the meeting that training sessions for ROs and AROs have already been conducted, enhancing their readiness to oversee the electoral process effectively.

The meeting also discussed the action plans of every section and activity pertaining to the election process, ensuring that this crucial task is well underway.
