Rajnath Singh e-inaugurates Kalapassi Bridge Ramban

RAMBAN, SEPTEMBER 12: Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, on Tuesday e-inaugurated newly constructed Kalapassi Bridge, 35 MTS PSC Box Girder, with load class 70R at km 144.970, old Alignment Ramban besides other 90 infrastructure projects constructed in other parts of India from Devak Bridge, Samba, Jammu and Kashmir.

At the Kalapassi Bridge, District Development Council Chairperson, Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan unveiled the inaugural stone in presence of Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam, SSP Ramban, Mohita Sharma, Commander (Superintendent Engineer) 760 Border Roads Task Force (BRTF) Amiya Shrivastava, ADC, Harbans Sharma, Officer Commanding (Executive Engineer) 52 RCC GREF, Kumar Gautam and several other senior officers.

The DDC Councillors, PRIs and other prominent citizens were also present on the occasion.

According to the Commander, keeping in view its strategic importance in strengthening road connectivity to Subdivision Gool, Sawalkot Project Site and to NH-44 in Ramban town, the BRO construction completed work on the Bridge by early September, 2023 with an expenditure of Rs 2.90 crore.

Among the inaugurated 90 projects, 11 are in J&K UT, 36 Arunachal Pradesh, 26 in Ladakh UT, 5 Mizoram, 3 in Himachal Pradesh, 2 each in Sikkim, Uttarakhand and West Bengal and 1 each in Nagaland, Rajasthan and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. These 90 projects include 64 bridges, 21 roads, 2 Helipads, 1 tunnel and 2 Air Strips.
