Warns of strict action on account of illegal constructions

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 11: In order to curb the menace of illegal constructions, the Enforcement Wing of Lake Conservation & Management Authority (LCMA) today undertook a Special demolition drive in the area of WFR, Upper Brein, Laam, Dar Mohalla Nigeen & NIT.

During the drive, several illegal constructions were demolished / removed including 01 tin Shed, 01 Tin Hut, Two Room Structure and 03 Single storeys. Besides, legal action has also been initiated against the violators.

It was given out that special demolition drives will continue within LCMA Jurisdiction especially in Green Belt (200 mts) and the violators will be dealt under law, therefore, people within LCMA Jurisdiction are time and again warned not to resort to any kind of illegal construction/ encroachments.

More so, people residing within LCMA residential area are requested to get proper building permission from the competent Authority before taking any construction work in hand, otherwise, strict action shall be taken against them.
