DC Poonch conducts training session on EVMs for ROs and AROs in Poonch

POONCH, SEPTEMBER 06: Under the diligent supervision of Deputy Commissioner Yasin M. Choudhary, a comprehensive training session was organized today at Poonch to impart practical knowledge of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) to the Returning Officers (ROs) and Assistant Returning Officers (AROs).

The training session, conducted in the conference hall of the DC Office, was part of the ongoing series of training programs in preparation for the upcoming Municipal and Panchayat elections.

Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi, Naib Tehsildar Election, Malik Zulafkar Ali, DLMT Master Trainer Mohammad Qasim Malik Sr. Lec and Lecturer, Yar Mohammad besides RO’s, ARO’s and other concerned officers attended the session.

During the session, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the crucial role of ROs and AROs in ensuring the smooth and efficient conduct of elections. He emphasized the significance of thorough training to equip the officers with the necessary skills and knowledge required for their responsibilities.

The training program, led by DLMT Master Trainer Mohammad Qasim Malik Sr. Lec, covered various aspects related to EVMs, including their operation and sealing procedures. The officers were provided with essential information on the scrutiny and withdrawal of nomination forms and the randomization of EVMs.

District Election Officer Yasin M. Choudhary oversaw the entire training session, ensuring the dissemination of accurate and up-to-date knowledge.

Furthermore, the officers were briefed on the proper depositing of election materials with the District Election Officer, emphasizing the importance of adherence to established protocols and guidelines.

The training session concluded successfully, equipping the ROs and AROs with the necessary skills and knowledge to fulfill their crucial roles in the upcoming Municipal and Panchayat elections.
