Digital India week Celebrations successfully concluded at GDC Tangdhar

Karnah Kupwara :Digital J& K week 2023 which is a step towards digital empowerment of citizens was celebrated across the UT of Jammu and Kashmir with effect from 31-08-2023 to 06-09-2023. Likewise a grand Digital Week celebrations also held at GDC Tangdhar in which various officers/officials of government departments, public sector banks, common service centres and khidmat centres participated. Prominent among Government Departments included Health, Education, Higher Education, Rural Development, Revenue, Social Welfare, ICDS, Food and Supplies, PDD, Jal Shakti, Agriculture, ITI and Public Sector Banks including J&K Bank, SBI and Grameen Bank. Throughout the week long celebration, huge number of public, PRI’s, students from various schools and college attended and visited the stalls at the venue, and acquired knowledge about various digital services provided to citizens. Besides regular digital week celebration activities, a number of other programmes were also organised by the college which included painting competition, quiz competition, speech competition, essay writing competition as well as an Awareness-cum-Mock drill pertaining to fire safety. College students and staff participated in the event with great enthusiasm and showed keen interest in digital services provided by the government. Meritorious students who participated in different activities during the week were given merit certificates. The digital week celebration event was inaugurated by SDM Karnah on 31-08-2023 who also attended the venue intermittently. The whole week long activities were carried out under the guidance of principal GDC Tangdhar Prof. Haroon Rashid and Tehsildar Karnah Syed Eyad Qadri where as NSS programme officer Dr Parvaiz Ahmad laisoned with different departments for successful celebration of the event.
