Sports Deptt’s Inter-Zonal District level Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Tug of War, Volleyball, Chess & Carrom Competitions begin

Jammu Sep 05: Inter Zonal District Level Competition in the sports disciplines of Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Tug of war, Volleyball, Chess and Carrom for the age group of U/19 Boys Commenced today at Khel Goan Nagrota here.
The competitions were organised by District Youth Services and Sports Office Jammu under the supervision of Directorate of Youth Services and Sports J&K.

The Inter Zonal District Level Competitions in the discipline of Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Tug of war, Volley ball, chess and carom were organised for the student players of different Sports Zones of Jammu district. The tournament is being organised under the patronage of Director of Youth Services and Sports JK Subash Chander Chibber and Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu Suram Chand Sharma.
In these competitions about 700 players of 72 teams took part in different games. On his visit, Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu Suram Chand Sharma and Ravi Sharma Deputy Director Planning Youth Services and Sports Jammu interact with the players during the competitions.
The main aim of these competitions is to select the best team for the next level of competitions. Players performed to their best possible levels to attain a better position.
The matches were officiated by panel of experts of the Department, convenors and other technical officials who were deployed for the smooth conduct of these competitions.

Zone Arnia beat Zone Dansal by (2-0) set
Miran Sahib beat Zone Bhalwal by (2-0) set

1st Match Zone Arnia beat Zone Bhalwal by 27 points
2nd Match Zone RS Pura beat Zone Miran Sahib by 4 points
3rd Match Zone Bishnah beat Zone Chowki Choura
4TH Match Zone Khour beat Zone Marh by 13 points
5th Match Zone Dansal beat Zone Gandhi Nagar by 14 points

Carrom U/19 Yrs Boys
Single:- Himanshu (Zone Gandhi Nagar)-First Place
Navish (Zone Jammu)-Second Place
Double:-Jatinder and Pratham(Zone Bishnah) – First Place
Vanshu and Rahul (Chowki Choura)- Second Place
Chess U/19 Yrs Boys
Zone Miran Sahib beat Zone Bhalwal by (3-0) set
