BANDIPORA, AUGUST 30: The Government Degree College (GDC) Ajas, Bandipora today organised a historic event to commemorate the valour and dedication of our Veer Jawans under Maati Ko Naman, Veeron Ka Vandan’ to mark the grand conclusion of the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign.

The event was a vibrant tapestry of patriotism, culture, and gratitude. The ceremony commenced with the solemn Flag Hoisting and singing of the National Anthem, followed by the heartfelt felicitation of the Veer Jawans.

The event began with the unfurling of the National Flag against a backdrop of clear skies and gentle breeze. The dignitaries and the audience stood together in a moment of unity, their hearts swelled with national pride as the strains of the National Anthem filled the air. The flag hoisting ceremony served as a poignant reminder of our shared allegiance to the country.

The centerpiece of the event was the felicitation of the courageous Veer Jawans who have valiantly safeguarded our borders. The stage was graced by esteemed guests, including Prof. Parveen Kousar, Principal of the college, Insp. Sajad Ahmad, In-Charge Police Post Ajas and Mohammad Shaban Bhat, Chairman of Tehsil Welfare Committee Ajas and the Principal of Govt. Higher Secondary School Ajas.

The Veer Jawans, adorned in their ceremonial uniforms, stood tall as the community showered them with applause and admiration. Each soldier’s journey and sacrifices were recognized through heart-warming anecdotes, shared by the dignitaries that left an indelible mark on everyone present. The Veer Jawans were presented with tokens of appreciation and mementos, a tangible gesture symbolizing the nation’s unwavering support and gratitude.

Following the felicitation, the closing ceremony of “Meri Mati Mera Desh” unfolded, celebrating the rich diversity and cultural heritage of India. The stage came alive with vibrant performances, representing various regions and traditions of the country. The audience was treated to an enchanting array of dance forms, melodious tunes, and artistic expressions that showcased the unity that lies in our diversity.
