Rashtriya Khel Divas observed as tribute to legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand

Rashtriya Khel Divas has been observed on 29th August’ 2023 as a tribute to legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand who was born on this day in 1905.

To commemorate the day, 10 BN SSB Batmaloo, Srinagar (J&K) organized various sports events like Volleyball, Cricket, Tug of War, Plank challenge, Football, Kho- Kho etc. at Battalion HQ Batmaloo, these events got started from 22/08/2023 and culminated with “Fit India Fitness Pledge” and celebration of National Sports Day 2023 on 29/08/2023.

All the officials of the unit participated in various events with great fervor, zeal and enthusiasm.

Sh. R. S. Rawat, Second- In-Command on this occasion emphasized that sports are very important aspect of our life, it not only keep us physically but also mentally fit.

He also conveyed that we should play a lot of games regularly and promote it among the people in the area of deployment, it will help building a healthy and prosperous society.
