A 15-year-old boy drowned while taking bath in Rangil in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Monday evening.

Officials while talking to the identified the boy as Azmat Ahmad Wani, son of Bilal Ahmad Wani of Rangpora Illahibagh drowned in the Master Plan at Rangil, while he was taking a bath.

Locals told KNO that after the incident, police was informed and a rescue operation was launched to retrieve the boy.

Soon after being retrieved, the boy was shifted to a nearby hospital wherefrom he was shifted to SKIMS, Soura where he succumbed later—(KNO)
