Questions arise about the underlying factors contributing to poor examination result of students in Karnah Degree College. The College administration said that the attendance of the students were poor as a result this situation occured and the college administration has noticed it several times. The principal of the college speaking to the media during a press conference said that not only in Karna; but this time in the valley too, poor performance in the results of students were seen this year. He said that the attendance of students in remote areas like Karnah is very low, due to which a reduction in the rate of results has been seen. He said that this year we have given the students’s attendance to the university, while before that we issued notices several times that to students as per university guidelines ensure 70% attendance. Despite this, the attendance of students are poor. In response to a question, the principal of the college said that the college has its own transport service and we are also ready to provide bus service to students, but for this, the students will have to come forward to avail service by paying subsidised transport fee but the response from the students were very dull. At last he said that we want the students’s attendance to be ensured and their results should be better. He also informed that college funds are not fully utilized as there is ongoing land dispute of GDC Tangdhar.
