NSE Foundation, the implementation arm of CSR activities of the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSEIL), has installed a state-of-the-art CT scan in the Indian Army’s prestigious 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar (J&K). The equipment supplied is the latest model by GE (Revolution Maxima), which is a powerful, high-performing, and reliable 128-slice CT scanner. It features a number of innovative technologies, including AI-based technology that automatically centers the patient in the bore of the scanner. As a result, patients can be scanned more quickly and accurately, leading to a shorter wait time and effective diagnosis.

While inaugurating the center, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha said: “The new CT scan center with the state of the art CT equipment is a much-needed addition for the health and well-being of the community. It will make a substantial difference in the treatment protocols and outcomes of the patients in the hospital.

On this occasion, GOC Chinar Corps said that 92 Base Hospital, known for its exceptional healthcare services and specialized care, receives and treats a large number of CI Ops casualties around the year and serves as a crucial node for these polytrauma cases. The hospital’s patients consist of members of the Armed Forces, including the Army, and paramilitary forces, including CRPF, BSF, SSB, and Assam Rifles. Further, the hospital also provides inpatient and outpatient care to civilians during times of conflict and natural disasters. The installation of an additional CT scan machine by the NSE Foundation will be a key milestone for the 92 Base Hospital and would expedite the investigations during critical times, thus aiding in saving lives and reducing morbidity by a timely diagnosis.
