In all the areas of Line of Control as well as in the border sub-division Karnah, several events were organized in connection with the Independence Day. Raised the flag and saluted the parade. Police, NCC, Forest Protection Forces, Fire and Emergency Service troops took part in the march pass. Tehsildar Karna Syed Ayyaz Qadiri, SHO Karna Shifat Hussain, Block Development Officer Karna Tawheed Ahmed Mir attended the ceremony. Children of different schools and artists of Karna Cultural Club exhibited their art on this occasion and received appreciate from the people present there. SDM Dr. Gulzar Ahmed Rather during his speech gave an overview of the development work going on in Karna. He said that along with other parts of the country, Karna is not behind in terms of construction and development. He said that special attention is being paid to the construction and development of border areas in the Modi government. He wished the people on Independence Day. He said that our elders have laid down their lives to liberate the country and thanks to these sacrifices, the country is on the path of development today. Border areas were decorated with lights on the occasion of Independence Day. Brigadier NK Das of 104 Infantry Brigade hoisted the flag at zero point in village Teetwal on the Line of Control and saluted at the march pass. This ceremony was also witnessed by large number of people at the border. A large number of students were present on this occasion and school children presented a colorful program. He also paid tribute to the martyrs on Independence Day who laid down their lives for the sake of the country. Meanwhile, all the private and government schools, including Sub-Zilla Hospital, Tangdhar Degree College, Karnah, also organized different programs. People were Expressing their love for the country, the children sang Desh Bhagati song and received appreciate from the people present there.
