DIPR organizes cultural bonanza

District Administration Ramban, today organized a series of colourful and patriotic programmes under the theme “Meri Maati Mera Desh” across the district Ramban .

Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam presided over a multilingual Kavi Sammelan organized by the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) . Several budding and renowned poets from across the district recited their poetry like Ghazals, Kavitas and Songs.

ADC, Harbans Sharma, ACR Gias ul Haq, CPO Dr. Kasturi Lal, Dy. DEO, Lal Chand, GM DIC, Ravinder Anand, CEO Devanand, CMO Kamal Zadu, Executive Engineer PWD, Abhishek Gupta and all other senior officers and cultural lovers attended the programmes.

Meanwhile, a colourful cultural bonanza was also presented by the Information Department in which renowned singers Mohan Thakur, Jeevan Pahari, Neha Rakwal, Zia-ur-Rehman presented their thrilling performances besides singing patriotic songs.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that under ongoing ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ a campaign district Administration is organizing various events across the district.

The DC appreciated the organizing committee for conducting Kavi Sammelan besides presenting vibrant cultural performances. He also appreciated the participating institutions including Polytechnic College Ramban, Government Degree Colleges of Ramban, Banihal, Batote, Ukhral, Government Higher Secondary Schools Rajgarh, Ramban, Gandhri, Dhandrath, Batote and Sanasar for presenting cultural programmes.

Assuring full cooperation from district administration for boosting local art and culture, the DC said that Administration is exploring every possibility for the establishment of a vibrat cultural unit in the district.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner also flagged off a Tiranga Rally organized by the Teacher Association Ramban under the aegis of Education Department Ramban.
