While commencing the programme, the Patron of the college Prof (Dr) Shallu Samyal threw light on the importance of the day and need of awareness programmes to disseminate the message that care is the only cure of this disease. The resource-person of the day was Dr Mehrul Nissa from PHC Ukhral. She at length discussed the various aspects of the disease and the primary preventions about this menace. The first position was held by Sweety Devi, while the second position was shared by Sohan Singh and Manju Devi and the third position was shared by Mohd Tamseed Gani and Ab. Qadeer Bali.

Prof Zakir Hussain, Prof Suresh Chander and Dr Shafiq Ahmad Katoch also presented their thoughts about the topic of the symposium.
