Cultural Unit DIPR Jammu organises series of activities in GCW Parade

A Cultural program, Nukkad Natak, and Yoga session on the theme Health and wellness was today organised by Cultural Unit of Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) Jammu and Department of Ayush here in Government Women College Parade. The event was organised as part of the Independence Day Celebration.

Artists of the Cultural Wing of the Information Department presented Folk songs and patriotic songs. Students and teachers of the College also presented a colourful Cultural program.

Later, a special Yoga and Meditation session was organized by the Department of Ayush to promote a healthy lifestyle among the students.

Speaking on the occasion, the College Principal Dr.S.P Sarswat shared his views on the topic and appreciated the Cultural Unit of Department of Information and Public Relations and Department of Ayush for organizing such a meaningful program to aware the future of the nation.

The students who participated in the program were Simran Gurtoo, Shreya Gurtoo, Varsha Jamwal, Ranju Jasrotia and Deep Sehgal.

Dr.Jasmeet Kour, Dr.Seema Malhotra, Dr. Gurpreet Kour,Dr.Mohd.Majid, staff members of the college, officials of Information Department and a large number of audience witnessed the program.

The whole program was conducted under the supervision of Cultural Officer, Mukesh Kumar Sharma.
