As the news about the martyrdom of a local boy, Waseem Sarwar spread in his native village, a pall of gloom was fallen on the locals of the area.
Martyrs Waseem Ahmad Sarwar from Bandipora left behind his six month pregnant wife.
People were seen weeping and beating their chest over the martyrdom of Waseem in the Halan, Kulgam operation in which Waseem along with other two soldiers gave supreme sacrifice of their lives in safeguarding their motherland from terrorists.
Soon after the mortal remains of army personnel, Wasim Ahmed Dar, reached his native place, senior army and police officials also participated in the funeral of the deceased.
However, people in large number on Sunday paid homage to the Indian Army trooper hailing from who was killed in action on 4th of August during an operation in Kulgam.
Meanwhile after the killing of three army soldiers in Halan, Kulgam area, army and police geared up it’s efforts by conducting massive search operation to hunt down the militants.
